This CIP proposes to reduce Celestia’s trusting period (weak subjectivity period) to 7 days, consequently setting the light node sampling window to 7 days.

I thought @cmwaters said that IBC clients don’t need an upgrade if we reduce the trusting period to 7 days, as long as the unbonding period remains 14 days. If it does require an upgrade, this seems like it would require extensive coordination as those IBC clients can only be upgraded via a hard fork, which should be scoped out first IMO before the CIP is pushed to mainnet.
Another reason for lowering the trusting period to 7 days by the way, is that most optimistic rollups have a 7 day challenge period, so if data is unavailable, they need to know that its slashable within 7 days.
